Here ye here ye, this artist of the week post goes to Andrea Albarron. Andrea is actually from Mexico and come to the U.S. at an early age of four years old. When she came to the U.S. she grew up around the Los Angeles area and went to Fireball high school in Lynwood. Andrea started high school liking fashion and always wanted to do it. But, she took an art class at Fireball and her teachers realized her talent in art. He kept encouraging her to stick with it and she gave in and never looked back.
Andrea then started looking into colleges with good art programs. Cal State Long Beach was her first choice and she was truly excited to get in. When Andrea starts to paint her ideas always change when she starts the piece, but she always shows signs of her original idea. Like many she believes is never done and things can always be added. When asking her about her favorite paintings she gladly said the two she is standing in between in the picture. They are paintings of her (left) and her niece(right).
Honestly, Andrea has to be one of the artist that I favor most. She is very enthusiastic about what she does and when I was interviewing her she wanted to know more about my opinion and even invited to come to the gallery more to check more of the art it has to offer. All-around she was a very cool person to talk to and I am glad I had a chance to interview her.
